The Richmond RUNFEST are excited to announce that registration for the Kids’ Mile (14thSeptember) is now live. To celebrate the launch, they have released a 50% early bird discount of £7.50 for the first 100 registrants.
Race director, Tom Bedford said: “As in previous years, we are offering 800 free places into the Kids’ Mile to local participating schools. Also, after a successful trial last year with Me too & Co, we are excited to expand the accessible mile race for children with special needs in a friendly, non-competitive environment where every child is a winner and receives a finishers medal at the end”.
Richmond based charity, Me too & Co, is an award winning independent charity that provide a supportive and active community for children with disabilities and additional needs, and their families. They help families with children (aged 0-25) with any physical, learning, emotional or behavioural difficulty, including those without diagnosis.
“Me Too & Co. is delighted to partner with the Richmond RUNFEST. Together we will host the accessible mile for our children who have additional needs hence making the festival a truly inclusive event for the entire community. Our children and families look forward to participating in what will be a magical day of sport where they can have a real sense of achievement”. Chair, Jennifer Peters, Me too & Co.
